During this challenging time we want the residents of Westfield to be reassured that your fire department is here for you and ready to respond to any fire or medical emergency in the district. Like everyone, we too have made changes to insure that our members remain healthy and able to serve you in your time of need. Some of our operational modifications include closing the fire station to all hosted activities, limiting member time at the station to response to emergencies and completion of tasks that support response operations and implementation of an aggressive cleaning schedule for the station and apparatus. We are working to maintain an adequate supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) and we have added new equipment to help keep our personnel and the public safe when we are treating sick patients. We ask anyone calling for our help to please answer the 9-1-1 dispatcher’s questions completely so that we can be best prepared to treat the patient when we arrive. As always, your fire department is here for you and ready to respond day or night. Please remember to maintain social distance (minimum six feet), wear a mask when in crowded public spaces, wash your hands and refrain from touching your mouth, nose or eyes without having first washed your hands. Be safe!
