Engine 5 is designated as the water supply truck for the Westfield Fire Department.
Westfield 5 is equipped with a 1500 gallon per minute Waterous Pump and a 750 gallon booster tank.

This truck, along with Engine 2 and Tanker 4, can go to a water supply (pond, river, brook, or even swimming pool) and pump the water from the supply into a tanker truck or directly to firefighters through hose lines.
Engine 5 runs on a 425 HP Detroit Diesel Series 60 Engine and Allison Automatic Transmission.
